Studio Visit with Troy Schaum of SCHAUM/SHIEH Architects.

Our Studio Visits Program offers exclusive access to the working spaces of Houston's leading architects, engineers, artists, designers, and makers. RDA Studio Visits are a unique opportunity to meet and hear directly from thinkers and practitioners in the design and creative fields, learn about their work, and tour their studio spaces in an intimate setting.

The Studio Visits Program launched in June 2019 with a visit to SCHAUM/SHIEH Architects and a tour led by Rice Architecture Associate Professor, Troy Schaum.

The Studio Visits Program is an initiative of RDA’s Young Professionals, a dynamic group of practitioners in the design, architecture, construction, and engineering fields who have an interest in improving and pushing the limits of design culture in Houston.

A hands-on group, Young Professionals have the opportunity to actively participate and shape programs and events specifically put together for them.

While the events offer opportunities to network and connect with others in the design fields in social settings, Young Professionals programs are intentional in exposing its members to new content and ideas that can inspire the development of those in design-oriented careers.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Young Professionals group or want more information on our upcoming Studio Visits, please contact Ashley Tagle at ashley.tagle@rice.edu
