Our lectures and lecture series engage a wide variety of professionals and thinkers from different fields who are looking at the built environment in innovative and provocative ways.

We hold our lectures in different locations throughout Houston – inside and outside the Rice University campus – and collaborate with Rice Architecture faculty, as well as local and international organizations and institutions to bring the most exciting and relevant design thinking to Houston audiences.

Spring 2020 Lecture Series - EVENTS POSTPONED

The Rice Architecture Spring 2020 Lecture Series includes a selection of evening lectures, symposia, and noon talks, in addition to the Rice Design Alliance Spotlight Award + Lecture and Civic Forum, which this year focuses on questions around housing. The speakers represent a diverse group of international thinkers, practitioners, curators, and researchers looking at several threads in architectural and design thinking today.
