Please join us for a lecture with designer Omer Arbel Friday, May 3, at 7:00 p.m., in the William Ward Watkin Lecture Hall (Room 117) at Rice Architecture. The lecture is free and open to the public. Reception to follow.

Based between Vancouver and Berlin, Omer Arbel cultivates a fluid position, between the fields of architecture, sculpture, invention and design. Focal themes of his work include the intrinsic mechanical, physical, and chemical qualities of materials and the exploration of light as a medium.

In his first ever lecture in Houston, Omer will discuss his creative process, as well as the work stemming out of his studio, Omer Arbel Office (OAO), a creative hub that works around ideas of varying scale in architecture, design, and craft.

With generous support from Shop.
