Join us on WednesdayJune 30, at 5:00 p.m. CDT, for a virtual event to celebrate the release of Cite 102. This launch event will focus on the magazine’s redesigned new issue, its nearly forty years of visual production, and the importance of making print media in today’s increasingly virtual world.

Alongside Editor Jack Murphy, speakers include RDA Executive Director Maria Nicanor; Rice Architecture  Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies Reto Geiser, who led the redesign of Cite as part of MG&Co.; Herman Ellis Dyal, FAIA, FAIGA, Cite’s original graphic designer; and Dung Ngo, Publisher of August Editions and Editor in Chief of August Journal. Ngo, a Rice Architecture alumnus, previously worked as the school’s Director of Publications, Exhibitions, and Events.

Cite 102 includes major contributions from guest editors Ajay Manthripragada and Piergianna Mazzocca, both previous Wortham Fellows at Rice Architecture. Their investigation centers on the question “What does it mean to be of one’s own time?” Additional content extends this question to events and people in Houston, both historically and in the intense past year.

Attend this event to learn more about Cite 102 and to participate in the conversation.
