Rice Design Alliance Launches K through 12 Outreach Program

Rice Design Alliance is launching its first K-12 outreach effort by inspiring students in Kindergarten through 12th grade to learn about their built environment. We are offering a free field trip opportunity for schools in the Houston area.

Students will be introduced to the concepts of architecture. Student will also be lead through Rice University Campus for a tour and apply what they have learned by observing buildings on campus. The tour include a preview of what it is like to be an architecture student through a walk through of the  Rice School of Architecture.

At the conclusion of the tour, students will be placed into a  studio of their own. Each studio will work together to design their own buildings and a master planned city.

Participation for this program is done through an application process. Please click on this link  to apply.
